Explosive Potential
Potentially Explosive Breakouts
Market Scanner Snapshot · Seed Universe · August 25, 2026 02:56
This post summarizes a technical scanner focused on names showing constructive setups for potential expansion. The scan produced 9 focus hits (score ≥ 45) and 7 seed-watch names still below the minimum score threshold.
Data reflects the scanner output at the time of the run. Prices, distances from reference levels, and RSI readings are shown as captured. Click any ticker to open its live chart on TradingView.
Focus Hits (Score ≥ 45)
| Rank | Symbol | Score | Setup | Theme | Close | Dist | RSI | Quick Take |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | EXPE | 97 | strong | strength | 339.12 | +1.2% | 65 | Highest conviction. Already expanding. |
| 2 | ELVN | 88 | near | strength | 61.15 | –1.9% | 50 | Coiling under trigger. Neutral RSI. |
| 3 | FBRX | 79 | coil | strength | 76.95 | –0.3% | 76 | Tight coil, elevated RSI — pressure building. |
| 4 | CGON | 79 | near | strength | 78.23 | –3.5% | 65 | Slight pullback offers cleaner entry than EXPE. |
| 5 | PAYS | 66 | near | strength | 13.65 | –4.4% | 89 | Momentum stretched; high RSI is the caution flag. |
| 6 | MU | 56 | buy | semis | 966.78 | –7.2% | 69 | Clean semis name with defined buy after pullback. |
| 7 | DAVE | 54 | mom | brkout | 354.79 | –23.5% | 32 | Deep pullback + low RSI = higher-risk momentum try. |
| 8 | UFPT | 54 | mom | brkout | 305.39 | –10.9% | 29 | Similar oversold momentum profile to DAVE. |
| 9 | AMD | 45 | mom | semis | 473.25 | –16.0% | 47 | Lowest focus-hit score; still part of the semis cluster. |
Dist ≈ percentage from the scanner’s reference level (recent high or breakout trigger). RSI is the 14-period reading at scan time.
Seed Watch (Below Minimum Score)
These seven names remain on the watch list. Most sit in the semis group or are breakout candidates that have already given back 14–34 %. RSI readings are generally mid-range or lower, so they are not yet extended. They can move into the focus list if they tighten and reclaim key levels.
| Symbol | Score | Setup | Theme | Close | Dist | RSI |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| STX | 37 | watch | semis | 850.00 | –19.3% | 52 |
| WDC | 39 | watch | semis | 459.44 | –26.2% | 40 |
| CRDO | 42 | watch | semis | 230.57 | –24.1% | 53 |
| WCC | 42 | watch | brkout | 337.01 | –14.3% | 30 |
| DBD | 39 | watch | brkout | 68.80 | –33.8% | 32 |
| ATEX | 40 | watch | brkout | 90.38 | –18.7% | 30 |
| APH | 42 | watch | strength | 155.55 | –13.4% | — |
Current Hierarchy of Interest
- EXPE — Score 97 and already in “strong” status. Highest probability of continued expansion if the broader market cooperates.
- ELVN / CGON / FBRX — The “near” and “coil” names. Best risk/reward for fresh entries that are not already extended.
- MU — Cleanest semiconductor name with an explicit buy tag and a manageable –7 % distance.
- DAVE / UFPT — Only if specifically seeking oversold momentum. Size positions carefully; distance from highs is large and RSI is depressed.
- Seed-watch semis (STX, WDC, CRDO) — Monitor for coil-to-breakout transitions. Not yet actionable on the scanner’s criteria.
Practical Notes
- Names already more than 10–15 % below their reference level (most of the momentum and seed-watch group) require a higher bar for entry.
- RSI readings above 70 (FBRX 76, PAYS 89) flag the most extended names. A tight flag or controlled pullback is preferable for new risk.
- The clearest thematic cluster is semiconductors: MU, AMD, and the three seed names (STX, WDC, CRDO). Strength names (EXPE, ELVN, FBRX, CGON, PAYS, APH) are more idiosyncratic.
